On 26th April, Dr Alexandra Stewart, Chair of the BRIGHT charity gave new and old patients an update on the results of the Papillon treatment available at St Luke’s Cancer Centre. The evening was hosted by the BRIGHT Charity who helped part fund the machine and bring the revolutionary treatment to the Royal Surrey Hospital in Guildford. The evening was a chance for patients to meet other patients and to hear an update on the treatment and the plans for the future. Mr Prebble who was the first patient treated with this new machine scooped up the raffle prize – it wasn’t a fix! We were extremely lucky also to have been joined by Sue Davies who runs the PAPS Support group and her son Mark Davies, who was the youngest patient to be treated using this machine at the age of 31. If you have received Papillon treatment and would be willing to share your story to help others please get in touch with Olivia Abel on olivia@bright-research.co.uk
